Prom-Expo-guysEvery girl’s dream is to attend her Prom with that special someone. With only a little over a month left before the big day, people should start getting ready.

Prom is the biggest dance of high school. Girls get all dolled up in fancy hair styles, put on makeup, and dress in the best dresses. Guys go with their friends to rent tuxes and get a fresh haircut.

But with everyone wondering the 411 on the dance itself, get ready because it is coming. This year’s theme is The Golden Masquerade Ball. It will be held at 2525 Stow St. in Simi Valley on April 23.

Ella Morada, junior class president, is the main coordinator. For planning the dance she described it as not so stressful because she has plenty of help from her class and the prom committee.

When trying to find the venue, she walked into the hall and was amazed by the scenery.

“It looked amazing,” she said. “There was a huge vineyard that I fell in love with. I knew it was the one when I walked in.”

But with all the planning of course she had some help.  Morada says, “Shoutout to Rachelle (Aranzazu) because without her it wouldn’t happen.”

Aranzazu says the hardest part of trying to plan prom was trying to please everyone.

“We really want to make it memorable for our graduating senior class,” she said.

For Prom Expo, they both agreed that the event was the most stressful part of all of prom season. Morada was a model herself and wore an elegant dress. She was running around the whole time in her wedges to make sure everything was going the right way.

“The show must go on even if I’m still on my feet,” Morada said.

There were some minor difficulties but that didn’t stop the junior class from making the best out of it. At the end of the night it was a huge success.
