Party with Mario

A new fun game from an old franchise, “Mario Party” has their 10th installment. But it’s their first installment on their newest console, the Nintendo Wii U.

There are many similarities from the other “Mario Parties” before and there are differences too. Sadly, in Mario Party 10 they kept some of the features from “Mario Party 9.”

For example, all of the players stay together in the same cart and move together; not like the older versions where it’s more like a board game and when it’s your turn, you’re the only one that moves.

The game also kept the feature where there are no coins, stars are free, you go through a star gate to get the stars, and the only special items you can get are special dice. The good thing is you could play similar to the older versions when you use Nintendo’s newest product Amiibos and play on the Amiibo Party mode.

There is this new feature where if the players roll all six numbers on the dice before the half-way mark, they set free Bowser and he messes everything up. You could have the most stars, but then you land on a Bowser square and lose all your stars. The good thing is if you’re in last place you can catch up and even be in first place. If you play on the new Bowser Party mode, you set free a Toad and he awards the players.

Another feature I don’t really like is after everybody has a turn, you don’t get to play a minigame. Somebody has to land on a minigame square to play a minigame.

There are new bosses to fight, new entertaining minigames to play, and the new boards look amazing.

Even though there are some people who dislike this game, I think this game is still fun to play, especially when you play with your friends and family.
