Do you ever want to find out which restaurant might have the best desserts? A restaurant called GOM Snow Dessert might be your answer.
As you plan to hang out in The Collection, you have to plan a place for some dessert. While there are many options to choose from, I would suggest GOM Snow Desserts. Located near the Riverpark movie theaters and “It’s Boba Time” restaurants, it makes it easily accessible for a hangout at The Collection.
Opened up in 2024, GOM Snow Desserts created big hype during its grand opening. The community wanted to try it out and taste the delicious sweets that came with it. GOM Snow Desserts brought a community of ice cream lovers as the restaurant consisted of ice cream desserts. Its most popular dessert is called Bingsu (which is shaved ice cream), which is Korean street food. This is not the only option, as GOM Snow also has pastries with different types of filling that delight your cravings.
Being the person I am, I decided to try it out. Stepping into the restaurant, it felt like a warm welcome with the pastries being made and ice cream being served. You can watch this happen as you think about what you’re going to order or as you walk by to an empty seat once you have already ordered. Looking at the menu, there were many options to choose from: different types of ice cream with different toppings. It felt so good just looking at the menu.
I asked a worker which Bingsu flavor was the most popular one, and they answered with Bingsu Cheesecake. The Bingsu Cheesecake has shaved ice, vanilla ice cream, cheesecake, and sweet condensed milk that can be added on top if you want it sweeter.
Hot Fish with Nutella filling is another popular choice. A Hot Fish is a pastry shaped like a fish that is baked with warm Nutella filling in it. I ordered a small Bingsu and one Hot FIsh Nutella filling that cost $16.90 in total ($12.95 for the small Bingsu cheesecake and $3.95 for the Hot Fish. I thought the prices were reasonable and affordable.
After waiting for about 10 minutes, my order was ready. Once I got my dessert, I began eating the popular cheesecake Bingsu. It was hard mixing it as it was filled to the top, even though I got a small one that looked big enough for 2 people. As you mix your Bingsu, you can add sweet condensed milk to your liking.
Taking the first bite, it was delicious. Eating this during the hot summer would absolutely melt you instead.
You may think that shaved ice would just remove the sweetness—in reality it is very unnoticeable, making it feel like you’re actually eating some real ice cream.
The Hot Fish tasted equally as good. During a cold winter morning, having this Hot Fish would warm you up. The Nutella filling in the Hot Fish was warm and chocolatey; the outside was a crispy bun. The crunch would crunch you down instead.
Overall, the desserts were really good. The sweet condensed milk and the cheesecake on the Bingsu created a delicious dessert that cultivated my appetite. The Hot Fish with its filling reminded me of the cold winters with a warm, chocolate scent aroma filling pancakes that blessed my crave.
GOM Snow Dessert can be considered one of the best spots to eat and enjoy a delicious dessert. With many options to choose from, I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
