Imagine you walk inside a new restaurant. You can hear the noise of the food sizzling, smell its delicious scent, and once you’ve got your food, taste all the flavors they’ve got to offer.
In Charley’s, a new restaurant near CI, they have many foods to choose from so that their customers may experience all the unique aspects of the food service industry.
Their menu includes cheesesteaks (sandwiches), cheese and bacon fries, wings, and even soft serve cones for only a dollar.
I took it upon myself to visit it, order, and review its menu. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, a side of fries, and a single cone. All of this amounted to $10.26. In other words, it was pretty cheap.
The first bite I took spoke volumes. I was instantly hooked.
Their sandwiches are freshly made so they were warm, and everything about them from the bread to the sauces made my sandwich hard to stop eating. You can tell the cheese and bacon fries use real bacon and even the fries without the cheese and bacon are incredibly good on their own. On top of that, the amount of ice cream on the cone was pretty big compared to other soft-serve ice cream, so the dollar was well spent.
Inside, the restaurant is small and pretty quiet. If you enjoy these kinds of places, then I recommend you visit Charley’s. What’s more, the interior is neat and has a red and brown color scheme. It’s kind’ve cozy in its own way. Most customers are students or families, plus the restaurant is family-owned, so it has a family-friendly feel to it.
All in all, Charley’s is a 10/10. I would 100 percent recommend that everyone visit Charley’s because they know what their customers want. Even if their food isn’t your cup of tea, they have ice cream cones, flavored lemonade, and milkshakes. So it’s still worth a try! It’s open from 10:30 am to 9:00 pm and is located at 2721 S Rose Ave, so going after school is no problem.
