Friend Looking for More

Dear Raider Sam

I have a friend who likes me, but I don’t ever see him as anything more than a friend. I don’t want things to be awkward between us, so what should I tell him to not break his heart?

You should talk to your friend and explain your situation to him. If he’s really your friend, he will understand. Remember to keep his feelings in mind because the last thing you want to do is hurt him. Lay it down easy on him, but don’t sugar coat things. Try to set him up with other girls. If he has someone else in his life, he will keep his mind off of you. Good luck!

Dear Raider Sam

I went out with this boy last year and eventually things ended because he was too busy. I felt like that was just an excuse and I never really got closure. Now he’s graduated and I haven’t talked to him in months. I can’t seem to get over him and I can’t stop missing him. Should I let go, talk to him, or what do I do? Please help.

Dear Don’t Steal My Swag

In my opinion you should put your mind at ease. Contact him and get that closure you want.  It won’t hurt to try. Maybe this guy isn’t as busy anymore and wants to give things another try. Or maybe you’ll realize it’s time to move on. Do whatever you feel is right and will make you happy. The power is in your hands. Good luck!

Dear Raider Sam

My friend, not me, is a very nervous gal! But she likes this boy and wants to talk to him. He is this super-attractive, tall jock and my friend is this shy, short, quiet girl. How can I, I mean my friend, come up with enough courage to talk to this guy?

Dear Helpful Friend

Well, first of all, tell your friend to just make small talk with him — stuff like the weather, school, sports, anything to get him to notice you, I mean your friend, a little more. If she has him for any classes, tell her to partner up with him for classroom activities. Just tell her not to be nervous and to be herself around him. Good luck to her!
