It’s always interesting and eye-opening to see how much couples truly know about themselves. The Isle File designed a “Perfect Partner Quiz” in which two couples went head-to-head to see who truly knew  each other the best.

The couple contestants were Denise Murillo, senior, and Erik Paniagua, senior, who have been dating for four years going on to five. They went up against Yesenia Melendez, senior, and Alvaro Morales, senior, who have been dating for two years and ten months.

Each couple was quizzed separately with a total of seven questions, meaning there were fourteen points possible. Each right answer was worth one point so the couple had a possibility of getting two points for each question. At the end, points were tallied up and the winner was crowned. Let’s see how they did!

1.When and where did you first meet?

Denise: “We met in junior high in math class. He tripped me to get my attention!” (CORRECT +1 point).

Erik: “We met in eighth grade in math class in junior high. I would stare at her every day.” (CORRECT +1 point)

Yesenia: “Freshman year. His friend Matt told him I was “the bomb” during passing periods and then he got my kik.” (CORRECT +1 point)

Alvaro: “I met her through a friend and I told him to tell her I thought she was cute then we texted each other.” (CORRECT +1 point)

Denise: “He hates bacon.” CORRECT +1 point

Erik: “She hates pizza from school.” CORRECT +1 point

Yesenia: “Anything healthy.” INCORRECT +0 points

Denise: “I don’t know.” INCORRECT +0 points

Erik: “ She likes Law and Order.” CORRECT +1 point

Alvaro: “Hers is Gilmore Girls.” CORRECT +1 point

4.What does your significant other want to do when he/she is older?

Denise: “He wants to be a cop or work in the SWAT team.” CORRECT +1 point

Erik: “She wants to be a pre-school teacher.” CORRECT +1 point

Yesenia: “Continue playing baseball; he wants to go to the MLB.” CORRECT +1 point

Alvaro: “She wants to be a vet.” CORRECT +1 point.

Denise: “When we’re standing and I can’t stay still.” CORRECT +1 point

6. Who always wins the arguments?

Denise: “I do.” CORRECT +1 point

Erik: “I let her win otherwise she gets even more mad. If not, I would be winning all the time.” CORRECT +1 point

Yesenia: “This is a bad question because we both think we’re right. I’M RIGHT!” INCORRECT +0 points

Alvaro: “She’s wrong, I’m right.” INCORRECT +0 points

7.Who said “I love you” first?

Denise: “I think it was me.” INCORRECT +0 points

Erik: “I did because I was in love with her. It was love at first sight.” CORRECT +1 point

Yesenia: “Varo did and I said it back.” CORRECT +1 point

Alvaro: “I said it to her.” CORRECT +1 point

In total, Yesenia and Alvaro received eight points, while Denise and Erik received twelve points, making them the winner.

Though neither couple got a perfect score, they are both still perfect matches for each other!
